conversation of
admiration
So
what, I wonder,
Would be your reaction?
If you were here now.
Hearing what I have said.
Would you feel sorrow?
Shake your head.
Shed a tear.
Or leave in terror.
If not here, where ever you may stay.
I long in your arms to lay.
Safe in slender shades of sorrow
Until the sun rises in the east tomorrow.
Warm, soft in cosy slumber.
Through autumn, winter, spring & summer.
Alas, although, I would like you to know.
That miles within us may appear.
But where you lie, I will always be near.
